What we do
Our small farm on an windy island off the West Cork coast, Ireland, started back in 2013 when we purchased some not quite pure bred Soay sheep, and were very kindly given 2 rams. This handful of tiny horned self shedding sheep grew into a reasonable sized flock and the wool is collected every Spring for spinning into yarn or felting. We then tried a commercial breed of sheep when we were given 2 Polled Dorset ewe lambs for bottle feeding. These were the first 2 sheep on the farm that needed shearing. We have very recently purchased some Shetland Sheep ewes in a multitude of colours. More information on the sheep can be found on the Meet The Flock page.
